Welcome to the 5th Nordic Salsa Experience, 15.-17. February, Oslo
It is a great pleasure for us at Danseglede and Knut Erik Production to welcome you to the 5th Nordic Salsa Experience. Our goal is to create an international salsa event for both Cuban and LA/NY dancers. You will experience a weekend full of classes, parties, international instructors, DJs, live salsa bands and much more.
Last year was a huge success and we doubled the number of participants. The feedback we have got from the questionnaire was very positve with a few important points for improvment. The three main issues were the girl/boy ration at the classes, different location for classes and parties and only on dance floor on Saturday party. We are happy to annoce that we have solved all these issues.
- This year we will introduce "girl bootcamp". There will be a cuban bootcamp and a mambo bottcamp. We will bring in two top international female instructors having a 6 hours course each. For the mambo side, we have already confirmed Magna Gopal, among the top five female instructors in the world. Cuban instructor will come soon.
- All the parties will have three dance floors, with cuban, mambo and latino sensual floor.
We contiinue the succes of the winter activities on Friday (sleding) and Saturday (ice skating). During the congress we will have an exibition of first class dance paintings.

 Le Rustique will serve good, low cost food during the festival
This time there are no reason to rush out during lunch to buy some food. We have been so lucky to get Le Rustique to be responsible for the food. Le Rustique is an experience catering company at festivals around Oslo. They do always get good critique, so you can expect a tasty meal. The best part is the it is cheap. There will also be possible to buy food during the parties, if you need energy to keep you dancing the whole night. For more information about the menue click here ....

 Cheap accommodation at Bårdar - just 100 NOK per night
For people who want to travel budget, we can now offer you accommodation at Bårdar for only 100 NOK per night. There will be one room for girls and one room for boys. You only need to bring your sleeping bag, we have mattresses. Bårdar has changing rooms for boys and girls, with toilets and showers. There rooms are situated away from the partiy, so there will be no noice. You can book your space by clicking at "Registration" and then choose two or three nights. |
 Lady styling bootcamp with some of the best instructors in the world
This year we have great news for all the girls. We are booking two of the best female instructors for two 6-hour boot camps, one for Cuban style and one for line style. There will be three hours on Saturday and three hours on Sunday, where participants follow all lessons. The instructors will set up educational dance program, starting from scratch and then build it up during the bootcamp. Bootcamp is suitable for ladies at all levels and is a unique chance to develop your style, elegance and body movement on the dance floor. |

 Greater focus on music classes during the congress
One of the great successes of last year, was the music classes. Therefore, we will this year set up more music classes, where people can learn how to play and understand how the salsa music works. These are unique classes you will only find at Nordic Salsa Experience, so take advantage of this opportunity. We guarantee that you will get a different view of salsa dancing, when you understand the music. Everyone will get to play different salsa instruments. You will be surprised how quickly you master the rhythms and actually manage to play salsa. |
 Cross Over classes for dancers wanting to try out a new style
Do you dance only one salsa style, but would like to try out something new? During Nordic Salsa Experience you have the possibility to participate in one of our Cross Over classes. On Friday at 20:00 before the concert there is a class for Cuban style dancers and onther for LA dancers. You will learn the basics in order to be able to dance the opposite style. |
